Here’s a few things you might want to think about:
- Wake up ahead of schedule. Does your schedule permit you to get up even one hour earlier so you can fit in some exercise? Although it might be tricky at first, rising out of bed before everyone else in your household can give you the time that you need to work out. Just make sure you don’t fill this time with busy work or you’ll never get the physical activity that you need to get in shape.
- Take the stairs. If you have the option to take the elevator or take the stairs, always opt for the latter. Not only will it give your heart a good workout, it will also help tone your legs. Small changes like these add up to a healthy lifestyle. Start being inventive in how you approach exercise and you’ll be amazed at how quickly these actions become habits.
- Find a workout buddy. Having another person hold you accountable when it comes to going to the gym will add to your success. Because you don’t want to disappoint your friend, you are more likely to make room in your schedule for working out. Schedule your gym time just like you would any other important appointment and have some fun while you’re at it.
