When I started taking kettlbell class I was really out of shape and could barely lift even the lightest of kettlebells. One of the great things about the workout now is how strong I feel. I have lost weight and over 3 inches from my waist and hips. I am finally losing the baggage that I’ve carried around since I was the last kid picked for teams in elementary school. I’ve discovered my inner jock and I like her a whole lot! Not only that, but cholesterol levels have dropped from 200 to 160. Griffin’s kettlebell class has been a wonderful for my health and confidence. I highly recommend this workout to anyone looking to make changes quickly and effectively.

I was always a big girl. You know. That super tall, big boned, “my, what a pretty face she has,” type. Not super fat but never lean or fit.
Well, all that changed last year when I finally got my butt in gear and dedicated myself to training with Griffin White.
I am a changed woman and while I went from a size 12 to a size 8, from 180 lbs to 159 lbs, I am still a tall curvaceous hour-glass 5’8″ woman and each day is a test.

“From Body Fat to Body Fit”
In August 2007, I had a body composition analysis and was surprised to see how high my body fat percentage really was. Shortly afterwards, I increased my training regimen with Griffin White by signing up for a kettlebell class. I enjoyed the people in the class and the course so much, I signed up for three classes a week. I have been attending religiously ever since and frankly, the results in my overall health and how I look have been amazing!
In five months, I have reduced my body fat percentage by 12%. Equally surprising is the fact that my lean muscle mass increased by 12%! I can’t remember the last time I felt and looked so strong and healthy. Today, my goal is to lose another 10% of body fat and I have no doubt that I can achieve my objective by continuing the work I do with Griffin.

“Standing Taller and Confident”
When I first met Griffin, he had been assigned to me after I had burned through two other trainers in a matter of months. The first trainer did not respect my limits and I ended up with a cracked rib. Yeah, crazy right? The second trainer just flaked out on appointments.
I could barely do a single push-up and a “lunge” was a move that I made to grab a bag of Skittles or a Big Mac, as Griffin started training me. My family and friends playfully mocked the belly that I had acquired. At that time, I was at the heaviest weight that I’d ever been, had terrible posture and very little strength.
With Griffin’s guidance, I’ve begun to stand a little taller – not just physically, but from a point of total confidence in me. I dropped from a size 32″ waist to size 30″ waist, a size that I’ve wished to return to, but hadn’t seen in many years. My diet is more sensible, and I feel more in control.
The changes since training with kettlebells have been fantastic. The kettlebell’s dynamic, total-body movements allow me to focus on strength, endurance and balance, all in one workout. Best of all, I’ve noticed defined results in all areas, thanks to Griffin’s patience, guidance, and expertise with kettlebells.
I find it difficult to imagine a better trainer or friend than Griffin with his winning ways and sparkling personality. He’s been my cheerleader for several months, and I’m happy to sing his praises!

“From Baby Weight to Bikini Body!”
Griffin’s Kettlebell class is a great intense strength training/cardio work out. It’s much better than lifting weights at the gym. I definitely feel I work harder and get a better work out. The first time I took Griffin’s class I didn’t realize how much you work out your legs and at the same time you are working other muscles. Some of Griffin’s training techniques reminds me of advance yoga moves because of the added kettle bell weight and opening up your chest. It’s a great way to shock the body and see quick results. Don’t forget your towel you will need it!

“Shrinking Hips”
I started working out with Griffin a couple of months ago. I do mostly one-on-one training, but also try and go to one class a week. I am amazed at how much stronger I have become in this short time… but what makes me the happiest are my shrinking hips!!!! Every girl knows that the hips are one of the toughest areas to work on. I am so happy with the results that I can’t stop running my hands down my hips ’cause they are so smooth! I recommend Griffin to anyone who wants to get fit and feel stronger. It can be tough, but it is so exhilarating that you keep coming back for more.

I have been attending this Los Angeles kettlebell class and my body has totally changed! Since starting class I have now lost over 23lbs. I’m not a very athletic individual so I was a little worried about my first class, but because you can customize how much weight you use I ended up doing pretty well. Kettlebells first interested me because it provides the toning of weight-training and the fat-burning of cardio in one class. I especially like the fact that this unique workout causes your body to continue to burn calories 8 to 24 hours following the class. I don’t have a lot of free time and this is a great way for me to maximize the effects of one workout. Griffin White, the instructor, is extremely knowledgeable, professional and hands-on. His energy and enthusiasm is one of my favorite things about the class. Also, he offers a free introductory class — try it once and you’ll see what an amazing workout it is!

Griffin has been my personal trainer for about one month. In that month, I’ve managed to shed about 10 pounds of fat and see a steady increase in the weight I can handle as well as my stamina and endurance. I was unfamiliar with kettlebells when I first met him, and training in general, but I have come to fully appreciate their effectiveness in building strength and muscle while also providing a thorough cardio workout. Up until 2 months ago I had never heard of Kettlebell classes. I weight train heavily because I’m a Figures Competitor but I had never used Kettlebells and didn’t think they could give me the workout I needed to build muscle. When I saw Griffin at a local Supplement Event, I took a flyer and went to my first class in a very skeptical state of mind. Were we going to do a million bicep curls? Isn’t that all you can do with Kettlebells? Was I wrong! Griffin was very patient in explaining the different moves and exercises…there are so many! Each one utilizes so many different muscle groups and my heart rate was through the roof. Not only was I getting a cardio workout, but I was getting extreme strength training in too. My traps, my shoulders, my back and obliques, my glutes…everything was working. The great thing is that as I progress in strength I can increase my weight to challenge myself even more. That’s great because it means that anyone at any level can use kettebells. You can start off with 8lb bells and go up to 50lbs+ depending on your fitness level. The moves all feel very athletic and since training my shoulders is a priority for my for my competitions I can focus on using heavier weights for our cleans and presses to build up that part of my body. I’m glad I found Griffin and his Kettlebell classes! This has been a great way for me to add variety to my training, and I’m seeing great strength gains in the gym because of it.

Griffin is an amazing trainer – he believes in you even when you don’t always believe in yourself. In an effort to make up for a lifetime as a sedentary bureaucrat, I have worked with eight trainers over the past decade – in California, the East Coast, and in a foreign country – Griffin is at the top of the pack.
Exercise for me is no joy – but Griffin tries to make it as pleasant as possible. He will constantly vary your routines to avoid boredom while always checking your form and otherwise ensure that you get maximum benefit from your effort. I have some various health issues that affect what exercises i can or should do – but Griffin always makes sure that if one exercise will not work for me – to find an alternative one that exercises the same muscle group without discomfort.
He is totally responsible – unlike some trainers I know – he will never “flake out” on a session unless giving plenty of advance notice and working out an alternative time.
A true professional, Griffin does his best to keep up with this changing field, attending classes and seminars and buying the newest equipment at his own expense for his clients’ use.
He is concerned with more than just your session – he studies nutrition and is always available for advice on diet and lifestyle issues and will suggest exercises you can do when travelling or working out on your own.
For a knowledgable, committed, motivating trainer – I recommend Griffin without hesitation.

After ending 30 years of training and performing as a professional classical ballet dancer, I have finally found a great program for maintaining overall fitness. Weight training proved to be static, tedious and -frankly- boring. Yoga’s spiritual references seem to be more off-putting than inspirational to me. I’d already done years of Pilates training as a classical dancer and was not satisfied with what it has morphed into. Griffin’s kettlebell classes are full of natural momentum movement that combines weight resistance with endurance and flexibility.
